DALLAS (AP) — A Dallas man suspected of raping several women since 2010 has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for sexually assaulting a victim who was walking alone.

Waldrick Brooks was sentenced Monday in Dallas. The 32-year-old Brooks last week was convicted of aggravated sexual assault and robbery in a 2013 attack while in the Red Bird area of Dallas.

The Dallas Morning News (http://bit.ly/1PP8mATA ) reports Brooks awaits trial on charges of aggravated sexual assault involving three other women. All were attacked while walking alone or they allegedly solicited sex online.

Brooks was sentenced to 50 years for the sexual assault and 20 years for robbing the woman in 2013, with the prison time to be served concurrently.

The defense said the sex was consensual.
