Man Dies In Trash Compactor

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A 26-year-old worker has died after getting caught in a trash compactor in an accident near San Antonio.

Bexar (bayr) County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Rosanne Hughes said that the man, who worked for Metro Waste Systems, became trapped in the back of a garbage collection truck Tuesday.

Hughes identified the victim as 26-year-old Benjamin Garza.

The sheriff's office is investigating the death as an accident.
