FALFURRIAS, Texas (AP) — A 32-year-old Rio Grande Valley man has been arrested and is jailed on five felony charges related to a fatal shooting.

Falfurrias Police Chief Ramiro Gonzalez says Mario Arredondo was arrested Sunday afternoon at home in a raid involving 30 officers.

Arredondo was set for arraignment Monday on charges of murder, attempted capital murder and three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Gonzalez tells The Monitor of McAllen (http://bit.ly/1BIlaSp ) the charges stem from the Friday evening death of 26-year-old Raymundo Gonzalez. He was fatally shot while driving his car. A female passenger also was wounded while three others inside the car, including a 3-year-old girl, were uninjured.
