Longtime Higher Educator Headed For Austin
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Longtime higher-education administrator Colette Pierce Burnette has been named president of Huston-Tillotson University in Austin.
Pierce Burnette on July 1 replaces retiring President Larry Earvin.
School trustees on Wednesday announced the hiring of Pierce Burnette, who in 2012 served as interim president at Pierce College in Puyallup, Washington.
She formerly was an administrator with Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio.
