Leader Of Nation’s 4th Largest City Takes Plunge
HOUSTON (AP) — Houston Mayor Annise Parker has gone skydiving with some of her staff to help kick off 2015.
Parker on Sunday made a tandem jump from more than 2 miles up. She was part of a group from Skydive Spaceland in suburban Rosharon.
Parker, who leads the nation's fourth largest city, later tweeted the jump was "One more thing I don't have to do again!" She said she jumped out of a plane at an altitude of about 14,000 feet.
Parker says the best part of the jump was being back on the ground.
