CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) — Corpus Christi police are investigating the death of a 3-week-old boy who had been sleeping with a sibling and his parents in the couple's bed.

Police did not immediately release the name of the infant who was pronounced dead Tuesday at a Corpus Christi hospital

Authorities believe the baby, his 3-year-old sister and the parents were all sleeping in the same bed. A police statement says the 19-year father and 20-year-old mother awoke to find the infant not breathing and they started doing CPR on him.

Officials are trying to determine a cause of death.

Child Protective Services is also investigating.
