EL PASO, Texas (AP) — A man charged with two rapes last year has been found guilty in one of them.   

Twenty-six-year-old Arturo Valtierra-Payan was found guilty Tuesday of aggravated sexual assault, burglary of habitation and aggravated robbery.

Prosecutors say Valtierra-Payan broke into a woman's home in June 2013. They say he threatened her with a knife and demanded money and jewelry after raping her.

Valtierra-Payan faces five to 99 years in prison and is eligible for probation.

The El Paso Times reports (http://bit.ly/1sBvsBd ) Valtierra-Payan was charged in a 2013 robbery and another aggravated sexual assault. He will not be tried in those cases, but evidence from those incidents will be presented during his sentencing.
