The PEN Project will host a free parent conference, "Creating Healthy Families" Symposium and Resource Fair for parents of children with special needs in the Concho Valley.

This event will be this Saturday from 9:30 until 3:00 at the St. Paul Presbyterian Church Gymnasium, 11 N. Park Street.

Parents can learn skills through presentations made possible by MHMR, West Texas Rehab Center, Region 15 Education Service Center, and Laughter Yoga. Presentations include:
Mental Health Behavior Strategies for Children and Teens, Puberty and Sexuality Instructions for Students with Developmental Delays, Effective Ways to Address Problematic Eating Behaviors, and Relaxation Tips for Caregivers and Families.
