College Student Missing After Spring Break Trip

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (AP) — A Central Texas college student has been reported missing after not returning home following a spring break trip to South Padre Island.

Authorities are trying to find 20-year-old Jordan Britten of Killeen. He attends Central Texas College in Killeen.

Messages left with police in South Padre Island and Killeen weren't immediately returned Wednesday.

Relatives say they last heard from Britten on Friday. Ilana Stone-Britten reported her son missing on Monday after learning several of his friends returned from South Padre Island without him.

She says credit card records show that her son paid for a room at a motel. The student's vehicle was located at a South Padre Island attraction.
