The ASU-SBDC (Angelo State University Small Business Development Center) will host 2 training events.

The first training event “Finding Funding for Your Business” this Thursday, July 23rd at 6:00p.m. It's free.

Are you looking for funding to start or expand your business? Not sure what the best option may be or even what is available? Attend this seminar to learn about the many funding options out there and how to go about obtaining them.

Topics include - overview of sources of start-up funding, alternative financing options (such as venture funding and angel investors), SBA loan guarantees, how to put together a loan proposal, tips on what the banker is looking for, how to estimate your funding needs, and more. Before you head to the bank, attend this seminar.

The 2nd training event “Are You Prepared for Chip Card Technology?”  will be Tuesday, July 28th  at 6:00p.m. and is free.

Credit card transactions are a need in most business; changes in credit cards and processing will transfer liability to businesses that are not prepared. If you are unaware of the new technology and how this will impact your business please register today!

Diane Johnson from Sonora Bank, will inform you on the upcoming changes and help you prepare to reduce your liability for fraud. You will also learn about Merchant Card Services and different options available to you.
