Alleged Attack With Brick Ends Badly For Ex-Boyfriend

TOMBALL, Texas (AP) — A Houston-area woman's ex-boyfriend has been shot to death outside her home after he allegedly tried to use a brick to attack her new beau.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the new boyfriend claimed self-defense after opening fire in the shooting reported early Wednesday in Tomball.  badly

Deputies were dispatched to the home amid reports of a disturbance. Officers found the former boyfriend dead on the front yard.

Authorities say the woman's new boyfriend had a gun, heard a noise and went outside. He was confronted by the former boyfriend, who had a brick.

Officials didn't immediately released the name of the man who died.

The case is expected to be referred to a grand jury to determine if charges should be filed.
