AMARILLO, Texas (AP) — Authorities are searching for a man after three law enforcement officers were injured during a traffic stop in the Texas Panhandle. None of the injuries were life-threatening.

Texas Department of Public Safety Senior Trooper Chris Ray says after the vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation Sunday on Interstate 40 east of Amarillo, the driver got back into the car and tried to drive away. A trooper tried to place the car in park and remove the keys but fell out of the vehicle, hitting his head on the ground.

Ray says that trooper was held overnight at the hospital.

Another trooper was treated and released. A third was treated at the scene. Ray didn't have details on their injuries or how they were injured.

The vehicle was later abandoned.
