2 Separate Accidents Claim Two Lives At Texas Lake

CONROE, Texas (AP) — Investigators say two people drowned in separate swimming accidents at Lake Conroe.

Montgomery County authorities say the drownings happened Sunday afternoon on opposite sides of the lake near Houston.

Authorities say a 50-year-old man went under while in a swimming area. Emergency personnel later recovered his body.

Officials say a 68-year-old woman was on a boat, jumped into the water and failed to resurface. Her husband located the woman, who was transported to a hospital and declared dead.
