SAN ANTONIO (AP) — San Antonio police say two men have been slain and three others wounded in gunfire possibly linked to an earlier shooting.

No one was immediately arrested following the shootings early Tuesday.

Police Sgt. Jessie Salame says a gunman was on foot and had been hiding in a ditch to attack the victims, who were riding in a car. The suspect opened fire, then fled.

Investigators say one victim died in the car. Another died at a San Antonio hospital. Police didn't immediately release names of those two victims. Three other men have injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Police are trying to determine if the deadly attack was related to earlier gunfire at another San Antonio location and whether gangs were involved. Nobody was hurt in the first incident.
