NASSAU BAY, Texas (AP) — Authorities in the Houston area say they have arrested a woman after 15 dogs were found inside a parked vehicle at a hotel.

Nassau Bay police say the dogs were discovered Monday. Although the temperature outside was around 75 degrees, police say it was more than 115 degrees inside the vehicle. Another dog was found inside the hotel with the owner.

Police say criminal charges are pending against the woman. Nassau Bay Animal Control is expected to care for the canines.
