LONGVIEW, Texas (AP) — Fire officials in East Texas say one person died and at least two were injured when a fire engulfed a group of mobile homes.

The fire in rural Longview was reported late Wednesday night. The identity of the person who died was not immediately released.

Kilgore Fire Department Assistant Chief Michael Simmons says that one of the injured people was taken to a Dallas hospital with severe burns. The second injured person was taken to a Longview hospital with burns to the hands.

Neighbor Becky Dillard tells the Longview News-Journal (http://bit.ly/1WLaA9J ) that the house that caught fire was made up of four or five mobile homes that had been put together to form one home.
